In March 2023, Laura was awarded a Girl Up! Role Model Award from some of the students at Castle Manor Academy.
The Girl Up! event was a student lead activists group who celebrate, champion and empower girls and women. Laura received this award for her efforts and dedication to providing more girls with opportunities to play football.

In 2018 Laura was awarded the Young Volunteer of the Year for Cambridgeshire FA. During this time she was playing and coaching at Cambridge City Ladies delivering their Wildcats programme and was the Cambridgeshire FA Youth Council Chair.
The nomination highlighted that "Laura is an excellent coach and role model for the girls she coaches. She is friendly, reliable and committed to the cause whilst being fun and friendly which makes her very approachable. She shows respect to all around her at all times, and is inclusive of everyone."
